As the summer sun begins to mellow and the vibrant hues of fall start to paint our landscape, the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association (SCVA) reflects on an exciting summer and eagerly anticipates the magic that autumn will bring. Our mission as a tourism bureau is to promote and celebrate the natural beauty, cultural richness, and unique experiences that make the Sullivan Catskills a premier destination for visitors and locals alike.
August Recap
August was nothing short of spectacular in the Sullivan Catskills. We celebrated numerous events, festivals, and attractions that make our region a top destination. From the beloved Grahamsville Little World’s Fair, a true testament to our community spirit, to the grand finale of the Borsch Belt Historical Marker Project in Woodridge, we’ve celebrated our history, culture, and the people who make this region so special.
In addition to our bustling events calendar, we’re delighted to share that August brought exciting news from the State Labor Department. Sullivan County topped the charts in new job creation, highlighting the region’s growing economic vitality and the positive impact of our tourism efforts on the local community.
