Evelyn Blanche Froehlich of White Sulphur Springs, NY, a life-long area resident, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. She was 85 years young (as she would say). Evelyn was the daughter of the late Alfred and Florence Cobb Bivins, born November 18, 1934 in Liberty, NY.

Evelyn enjoyed her church family, volunteering at the firehouse and when she had the opportunity, playing the slots at the casino. Some might not know but she was also a big boxing and wrestling fan and loved old time country music.

In the past 30 years or so, Evelyn spent much of her time being a caregiver. She is cherished by many for the comfort she provided to their loved ones. When she reached the point where she was physically unable to continue, it broke her heart, for that was such an important part of her life; who she was and who she wanted to be.

Survivors include her beloved granddaughter, Melissa Kollar (Steven) and their two boys (her pride and joy) of Clifton Park, NY; her grandson, Michael Froehlich of Schenectady, granddaughters Jessica Tremper of Schenectady and Tina Radley of Troy. She is also survived by her children, Patsy Baggs and Timothy Froehlich and many nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to Bonnie Norris and Linda Nietzel for their never-ending, unconditional love and support during her life but most especially this past year. The care that they provided for her never went unnoticed and the company they gave was something she cherished more than she could ever express. Also, thank you to Dr. Ahmed and the CCU nursing staff at Catskill Regional Medical Center, who took such great care of her.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 9 AM to 11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Evelyn's name may be made to the Susan B. Komen breast cancer foundation (https://ww5.komen.org/).
