Farm Arts Collective presents A Sheep Workshop at Apple Pond Farm

DAMASCUS, PA - Farm Arts Collective will open its 2022 programmatic season with a hands-on beginners workshop focusing on how to raise sheep. The workshop to be held on Sunday, May 15 from 1-3 p.m. and will be led by Sonia Hedlund at her farm, Apple Pond Farm, 80 Hahn Road, in Callicoon Center.

Sonja will introduce participants to her sheep and share her knowledge about the pleasures, hassles, and benefits of raising sheep, and what you need to know before you start. Learn about the products and benefits of keeping sheep including improved pastures for the farm, wool for yarn, bedding and skins, and milk to make cheese. This workshop is designed for anyone who has ever considered raising sheep, or for people who simply want to meet some sheep and lambs and learn about the animals.

Please wear appropriate footwear for an animal farm tour and experience. Tickets are $20, children are free.
