Frances Sedletzky O’Connell, age 95, passed away in Buffalo, NY. Born at home on the family farm in Swan Lake, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Agnes Sedletzky.

Frances grew up on the farm and graduated from Jeff-Youngsville Central School. After graduation she moved to the Bronx, where she went to work for John Hancock Ins. Co.

She then married the late Robert O’Connell. They moved to Rockland County with their two children, Karen and Kevin. She was very active in her community and was awarded Realtor of the Year before her retirement.

Frances is survived by her son, Dr. Kevin O’Connell, wife Martha and daughter Cassandra, nieces Nancy Matrafailo (Pete), Donna Tyler (Ed) and Janice Zeller (Bob).

Frances was predeceased in death by her daughter Karen, sisters Aileen Van Fradenburg, Tillie Libitzky and brother Stephen Sedletzky.

There will be a memorial at Calvary Cemetery in Youngsville later in the spring.
