It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Francesca Boyd of Callicoon. She entered heaven on Monday January 3rd, 2022, in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was 81 years old.

Francesca was the daughter of Otto Petersen and Frances Renz, born on June 22, 1941, in New York, N.Y. She was the proud daughter of Otto who successfully designed and built old boats and ships in the city. Fran as she was known to all was a lab technician in Greenwich, Connecticut, prior to meeting and marrying her loving husband Raymond Boyd Senior. For almost 60 years of marriage they were inseparable.

Fran was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always put her family first and looked forward to the times spent with them. She loved gardening, canning, cooking, baking and her Annual August class reunions. She was an active member in the Holy Cross Parish having taught CCD for 40 years.

She is survived by her husband Raymond Sr., her sons Raymond Boyd Jr. and his wife Bonnie, Richard Boyd and his wife Sue Ann, Daniel Boyd and his wife Jeanne, Vincent Boyd and his wife Erica and a daughter Cathy Clifford. She has 5 grandchildren, Stephanie, Bryan, Brett, Grace and Landen. She also has 5 great-grandchildren, Juliana, Maverick, Charleigh, Dax, and Rhett, Nan Eschenberg and Mike Schroeder whom she dearly loved as her own. She was predeceased by her son James Thomas Boyd.

She was loved very much and will truly be missed.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
