HONESDALE, PA - Going, going, gone! In less than 48 hours, Wayne Memorial Community Health Center (WMCHC) offices gave out roughly 10,000 free COVID rapid-antigen tests. The supply was made available to WMCHC staff, Wayne Memorial Hospital employees and the general public.

WMCHC anticipates getting another supply – hopefully the same amount—next week. The tests were made available to WMCHC from the federal government’s Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). WMCHC gave out two kits per person; each kit contains two tests. The same rules will apply with the next delivery and distribution.

The public is asked to monitor www.wmchc.net (or www.wmh.org) and the Wayne Memorial Hospital Facebook page for updates on shipments and availability.

The WMCHC test kits are Quidel QuickVue at-home tests. Similar kits can be found for a price at area pharmacies, although they, too, report supply issues. Check with your local pharmacy for availability information.
