Gail A. Owen, of Livingston Manor, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was 84.
He was the son of the late Bowman H. Owen and Reta (Crook) Owen, born on August 25, 1937 in Turnwood, NY.
Gail worked as the Superintendent of Town of Rockland Water and Sewer Department. In his free time, Gail enjoyed the great outdoors, camping, spending time with his family at the camp property, hunting and snowmobiling. He loved country music and square dancing. He was an animal lover and adopted several dogs and cats and could often be found feeding the wildlife around his home like chipmunks, squirrels and rabbits. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
He is survived by his children Vicki Cummings and her husband Douglas, Guy Owen and his wife Debbie, Valerie Carlson and her partner Darin Ward and Lisa Owen; grandchildren Ryan Carlson and his wife Magyn, Jesse Carlson and his partner Casey, Brandon Carlson and his wife Samantha, Garrett Owen and his wife Jessie, Gaston Owen and his wife Lindsey, Gavin Owen and his partner Allyson, Alex Cummings and his wife Krista, Andrew Cummings and his fiancée Samantha and Savannah Ward; as well as his great-grandchildren Emma, Brady, Maddie, Braxton Carlson, McKinzi Cox, McKenzie Lundeen, Rowan Carlson and Corbin and Sawyer Owen; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings Catherine Stewart, Bowman G. Owen and Margaret Huggins.
A special acknowledgement and thank you to Kristi Krantz Burkey for her love, dedication and devotion to not only dad, but all of her patients, while he was a resident at Roscoe Nursing Home.

A celebration of Gail’s life will be held at a later date in the Spring.
