Grete Glick, 96, Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Liberty, NY, passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2025.

She is predeceased by her husband of sixty-eight years, Stanley Glick, her parents, Lilli and Josef Mueller, and her sister, Doris Mueller. Grete is survived by a son, Stephen (Suzanne) Glick, and three daughters, Deborah Glick (Richard Kirschner), Leslie (Michael) Goldberg, and Terry Glick (Michael Strauss); nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Grete Glick was born in Windecken, Germany, on April 4, 1928. The Mueller family fled Nazi persecution in January, 1937, settling in Washington Heights, Manhattan. After graduation from Rhodes High School, Grete was an administrative assistant at W. T. Grant. Upon meeting Stanley, then a lieutenant in the Army Veterinary Corps, on a blind date, they moved to Brookline, MA, after their 1951 marriage. Following Stanley’s discharge from Army service in 1953, the family relocated to Ferndale, NY, close to Stanley’s hometown, Mountaindale, NY. Stanley, with Grete’s intense, nearly full-time assistance, established his veterinary practice, followed by a second practice in Monticello, NY. Grete was active with Congregation Ahavath Israel, Liberty, NY, her children’s school activities, and several women’s organizations.

Private graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 23rd, at 1:00 pm at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ. Shiva will be observed at Temple Beth Rishon, Wyckoff, NJ, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a service at 5:00 pm, also on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Grete may be made to Congregation Ahavath Israel, PO Box 892, Liberty,
