Helen Grace Olsen Hanslmaier of Jeffersonville, NY, a retired Day Care Provider and a lifelong area resident died Monday, March 3, 2025 at Kindred Hospital in Passaic, NJ with her family by her side. She was 86.

The daughter of the late George and Sarah Segar Olsen, she was born December 31, 1938, at home, in the Town of Delaware.

Helen loved spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, and working on family genealogy.

Survivors include her devoted husband of sixty years, whom she married May 16, 1964, Charles Hanslmaier; one daughter, Diane McGrath and her husband Michael; one son, Edward Hanslmaier and his wife Jeanne; a grandson, Dillian Hanslmaier; a sister, Marian Baker; a brother Herbert Olsen and his wife, Donna; sisters-in-law, Joan Woods and Vivian Hanslmaier; brothers-in-law, George Hanslmaier and his wife Lillian; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, George Olsen, Jr., Howard Olsen and Melvin Olsen; brothers-in-law, Charlie Baker, Ellis Hanslmaier and Robert Hanslmaier; and a grandson Derrick Hanslmaier.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 5-8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 7, 2025 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Ginny Bossley will officiate.

Burial will be in the New Presbyterian Cemetery, Likel Road, Jeffersonville, NY.
