November 7 — I have recently seen online that some folks are moving right past Thanksgiving and quickly putting up their holiday decorations. As much as I love the holiday season, I really don’t want to rush the different seasons.
My kids are getting older, and I want to cherish each holiday with family and friends. We host Thanksgiving each year and I am always looking for yummy recipes to create.
This year I will be making this giant Twinkie Cake! It is a nod to a favorite treat but in cake form. This recipe uses some shortcuts and I will take all the time-saver hacks I can find!
Ingredients
• 1 box yellow cake mix
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup water
• ½ cup oil
• 1 tub vanilla marshmallow frosting
• Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 and prepare bundt pan with baking spray
2. In a large bowl use a hand mixer to combine cake mix, eggs, oil and water
3. Pour into prepared bundt pan
4. Bake 25-35 minutes until set, cool completely
5. Use a wooden spoon handle to poke holes in the cake, in the center, all the way around, about ½ inch apart
6. Place the frosting in a piping or ziplock bag with a medium size cut tip and pipe the frosting into the holes
7. Turn the cake out onto a serving plate
8. Dust with powdered sugar, slice, and enjoy!
