Monticello’s Owen Bassett, using an 8-iron, aced Lochmor’s 11th hole on Monday, during a golf match against Fallsburg. Bassett golfed a 52 on the day, and the Panthers won 248 to 355, but Owen’s hole-in-one was the highlight of the day. The Par 3 hole measures 194 yards from the tee.

Coach Chris Russo said, “It was so cool to see it happen. I couldn’t get to my phone fast enough to record, but when it dropped I started shouting ‘It went in!’”

He continued, “It was great that he was with his teammates, two got to see it and the others got to join in celebrating. I’m so happy for Owen.”
