Hortonville celebrates Field Day

Posted

Field days have a long history in small towns as fundraisers for local fire departments that bring entire towns together to help the cause, and Hortonville’s annual event is no different.

The Hortonville Field Day hit its 88th year this Saturday, and drew hundreds to the hamlet for fellowship, food, and a chance to help the small volunteer-run department.

The Hortonville Volunteer Fire Company plays host annually to emergency service volunteers from all around the county who gather for the end-of-summer tradition with a parade that’s followed by a barbecue, games for kids, and more.
