The second edition of HoyEnSullivan hit the streets on Friday, May 13 and is being well received across Sullivan County.

“We have been truly humbled by the overwhelming positive response we have received on our new Spanish language newspaper and delighted that we are able to help the community,” Publisher Fred Stabbert III said.

“Not only is the newspaper growing in size but it is also featuring many great stories,” Stabbert said.

That list includes stories about the work of A Single Bite and Cornell Cooperative’s Mobile Community Cupboard; SUNY Sullivan’s Sullivan Promise Scholarship and local high school sports competitors.

“We’ve increased the number of distribution points and advertising support has helped the section jump up 4 pages to 20 pages,” Managing Editor Joseph Abraham said. “We will continue to reach out to our local communities for stories of interest and look forward to the next issue.”
