Infant wounded in shooting

MONTICELLO - Village of Monticello Police responded to a shooting that took place around 10 p.m. on Friday, May 5 at 15 Holmes street.

Three people, a 27 year-old male, a 20 year-old female, and a 15 month-old male sustained gunshot wounds.

The infant victim was airlifted by Medevac to Westchester Medical Center and is presently in critical but stable condition. 

The other two victims were transported via ambulance to Garnet Orange Medical Center where the 27-year-old is listed as being in stable condition. 

The 20-year-old, thought to be the infant’s mother, was treated and released. 

The Village Police’s preliminary investigation revealed multiple shots were intentionally shot into the residence from the outside. 

Currently, there is no available information on a suspect or motive. 

Monticello Police and  the New York State Police are working in tandem on the investigation and are asking anyone that may have any information to call Monticello Police at (845) 794-4422.
