Irving Bogursky, age 78, of Glen Wild, NY, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 22, 2020 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 6, 1942 in Ellenville, NY to Louis Julius Bogursky and Edith Goldstein Bogursky.

He leaves behind his children, Michael Ruff, (Teri), Lorence Ruff, Cindy Ruff, Thomas Bogursky, and Daniel Bogurski (Cindy); grandchildren Michele Lorino, Michael Lorino (partner Cassie), Thomas Lorino, Kevin Zeininger (Aida), Nicole Elledge (Christopher), Justin Ruff (Barbara), Dana Breathauer (Robert), Lorne Hall-Ruff, Michael Hall, William Soderlin, Sarah Bogursky McAuliffe (Tyler), Lisa Hummel, Heather Hummel, Preston Ryan and Daniel Bartley; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Hilda M. Bogursky, his sister, Florence Ida Bogursky Hoffman, his granddaughter Megan Ruff; his great grandson Devin Zeininger.

Irving loved his family. He was an avid farmer and a very hard worker. He was a 20-year member of the New York Farm Bureau and belonged to several other farm groups.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 27 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Due to the current health crisis, social distancing guidelines must be met - a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the funeral home, and facemasks are required.

Irving will be buried privately at the Glen Wild Cemetery and a public graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his name to New York Farm Bureau, 159 Wolf Road, Albany, New York 12205-0330.
