‘Twas a week before Christmas—can you believe it?

This year's been so crazy I can't wait to leave it.

I've been home for so long I lost track of the days.

Now it seems a whole year passed in a lockdown haze.

It looks like 2020 will soon come to an end,

And it can't come too soon, my dear reader friends.

Since the middle of March—was it the Ides?

We've been quarantining and staying inside.

But now we have great news—the vaccines are here,

Which should fill us all with thanksgiving and cheer.

For depending on your age and what you do,

The Covid vaccines are soon coming to you.

A triumph for science, proving that facts still matter,

In spite of the conspiracies spun by those mad as hatters.

We're returning to a world run by logic and facts.

Let's agree to give constant gaslighting the axe.

So dear readers, I hope your holidays are bright.

And your dreams are intact on these magical nights.
