Jeff Herzog of Las Vegas, NV passed away on April 13, 2023 at home surrounded by love.

Jeff was born in Monticello, NY in 1947 and graduated from Monticello High School in 1965. He then attended Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA and Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. During his lifetime, Jeff enjoyed many diverse pursuits such as professional skiing, farriery, business ownership and tour bus guiding. He also served in the National Guard from 1966 to 1972, earning the rank of Expert Rifle. Jeff aka “Mr. Patience” was a man with a great sense of humor who was always kind and friendly. He loved visiting National Parks, taking walks with Lila his bloodhound, and going on road trips and cruising. Never one to turn down an adventure, Jeff enjoyed building tables, fixing plumbing, and even smoking a brisket. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and traveler, often taking time to people watch and play trivia. He took great pleasure in hot tubbing, watching the Yankees and the Masters, and enjoying a good gin martini. Jeff was also blessed to have been able to meet his best friend in June 1970 and marry the love of his life in June 1971, followed by the birth of his sons, Stephen and Josh, and his grandson, Solomon. At this time, heartfelt gratitude is extended to Nathan Adelson Hospice and Jay at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery for their professional and kind services, as well as Gene and Rosie Hale, and Ulysses and Chris Clark for their help, support, care, and kindness during this difficult time.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 51 years, Miriam; son Stephen and his wife Michelle; son Joshua; grandson Solomon; brother Andrew and his wife Alice; brother-in-law Dan Silna and his wife Joan; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A “Full Life Event” honoring the life of Jeff will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at his home. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, expressions of condolences or other family wishes can be made to Jeff’s family @5657 New Seabury Ct., Las Vegas, NV 89122.
