July 28 – Ella would like thank everyone that purchased her handmade bracelets at The Secret Garden! So far, with your help, she  has raised $140 to send to St. Jude’s!

A Weekend of Chamber Music will be held in Lulu’s (above the Jeff Bake Shop located on Main Street in Jeffersonville) this Friday and Saturday. Friday’s rehearsal starts at 7 p.m. and is free. Saturday’s performance starts at 8 p.m. with tickets $35 each. For more information contact Andrew Waggoner at 917-664-5185.

This year's Firehouse Book Sale in Jeffersonville is set for August 4th, 5th and 6th from 9a.m. to 3p.m. each day.  Stop by and browse thousands of gently used books and other items. Saturday is bag day.  Fill a bag for $2.00. Interested in helping out? Volunteers are needed for set up, during the book sale and clean up.  Call the library in Jeffersonville at 845-482-4350 to sign up for a timeslot.  

Sullivan West students and library volunteers Karl Swanson and Samantha Everett worked on a project to find out what their fellow Bulldogs were reading.  They collected dozens of book reviews that will be published each month in the Western Sullivan Public Library newsletter. 

The Small Town Country 4-H Club invites the public to its third annual Live, Love, Serve: 4-H 5K race on Saturday, October 15th  at 9 a.m. on Main Street in Hortonville. Day-of registration packet pick-up will begin at 7 a.m. Participants can walk or run. 

* USATF NY 1808oJG. Youth must be at least 8 years old to participate, under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants can register as individuals or as a team, and do not have to be previously enrolled in 4-H to enter. The first 100 registrants will receive a race shirt!  

Cost is $25 for adults and $15 for 4-H youth members. Registration can be completed by searching “Live Love Serve” at www.eventbright com or contacting the 4-H club at smalltowncountry 4h@gmail.com. Payment can be made with credit in advance online or with cash and checks at registration time day-of.

Any Sullivan County youth ages 5-18 can apply to enroll in 4-H for free, all year long. Learn more about this and other Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County programs by calling 845-292-6180 or visiting www.sullivancce.org.  

Join the Catskill Travelers on Saturday, August 20th for an incredible early Octoberfest. 

You will meet in Honesdale ,PA to board scenic train ride (departs at Noon- be there by 11:45) taking you to an Octoberfest with live music, dancing, food & drinks and lots of fun.
