A Jeffersonville Community Blood Drive will be proudly sponsored by Saint George’s Church in their Community Hall (on the side of the church) at 97 Schoolhouse Road in Jeffersonville on Wednesday, August 18th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This important event was moved from the 1st Presbyterian Church due to the large number of wonderful people donating their lifesaving blood. Many thanks to all that have participated and continue to sign up!

More news from Saint George’s RC Church, Fr Vu retired on July 1st and moved to Arlington, TX to be near his family. He served the Catholic parish of St George-St Francis in Jeffersonville and Youngsville for 17 1/2 years, and will be sorely missed.

Their new pastor, Fr Roland Antony Raj, comes to them originally from India, but for the past six years served at Blessed Sacrament Church in Staten Island. We hope that he receives a warm welcome, not only from the parish, but from the entire Jeffersonville community as our newest neighbor!

Exciting news!! The creamery at Myers Century Farm is open and in full swing offering ice cream – delicious flavors, vanilla bean, chocolate, maple cream, cookies & cream and cookie dough too as well as assorted ice cream Cookie sandwiches! Just starting so will add more flavors soon. Milk is also offered in chocolate, maple, coffee and, of course, white A2A2 and a cream line. WOW!!

Sullivan Allies Leading Together (SALT) are inviting youth, 11-18 years old, to participate in a New York State TikTok talent show. The local program preventing substance abuse by offering alternative recreational local activities, welcomes all talents (must be in video form), no prior experience necessary. $1000 prize and additional offerings for runners up.

Starting July 1, submit to IG, FB, TikTok and be sure to hashtag #nytakesovertiktok. If you live in Sullivan County, also use #saltdfctiktok to win local prizes.
