The Stone Arch Inn held a Holiday Party featuring a Toy Drive to benefit children attending the Sullivan West school district last Saturday that was lots of fun and great food. Thank you to the new owners and one of our favorite bartenders Martina! A big thank you to all of the people that brought in toys for the benefit of the school children and to Tara Brey for being the important person leading this project every year to help Santa.

This Saturday the Catskill CycleWorks is celebrating their 1 Year Anniversary! Contact them at (845) 482-2431 with any questions and to congratulate them on their 1st year as one of “our” Main Street businesses! To celebrate they are offering 10% OFF the entire store and Happy Hour from 4-6 p.m. Don’t forget to book your off-season tune-up, Jan-March, and get 20% off.

Also, this Saturday a performance of “Scrooge” will be held at the 1st Presbyterian Church beginning at 2 p.m. featuring former state-trooper-actor-writer Bill Moloney as Scrooge. Bill plays nine different characters in this one-man show, a 35-minute version of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”. Free performance for everyone (donations gratefully accepted) A great fun-filled event for the entire family and to spread the Christmas spirit.

The Sullivan Fresh Community Cupboard was created within the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County to provide Sullivan Catskills residents access to fresh, healthy food. You can help by bringing non-perishable food items to the CCESC building located at 64 Ferndale-Loomis Road in Liberty. To donate farm-fresh perishables, contact (845) 292-6180 Ext 116. A monetary donation will help ensure the Community Cupboard is fully stocked and able to deliver food and your donation is tax deductible. Any amount helps – visit http://sullivancce.org/donate.

Volunteers are needed to pick up donations, prepare food boxes, take deliveries, and more. If you know of a farm or food business that might donate products, let them know and share this program with anyone you think might need no-cost food too.
