The Kenoza Lake Hummingbirds 4-H Club will be hosting the fundraiser Jump For A Cause. Want to participate? Set a goal for the number of Jumping Jacks to be completed and collect donations for completing your goal. All donations will be donated to Ride 2 Survive- Sullivan County. You can complete your jumping jacks wherever there is enough room to jump!

Fun in March at the Western Sullivan Public Library! They are hosting “Sprouting Made Easy-with Egg Cartons “Beginning March 1st. While supplies last, visit any one of their branches and pick up a seed starting kit. Each kit contains soil, seeds and instructions for sowing. The Seed Library is located on the lower level of the Tusten-Cochecton Branch.

Need more Seeds? Visit the Seed Library! It's easy, borrow a packet in the spring…bring back a packet in the fall. They also offer a program, “Weekly Take-and-Make Kits” where each week they will be putting together brand-new kits for you to take home and enjoy. Registration is required and ends Sunday night. Pickup begins the following Wednesday. All of the kits are free for children ages 11 and under and available for pick-up at each branch while supplies last.

March 6th -12th will be “Washer Art” where they will be using washers to create unique art that can be worn as jewelry or turned into a magnet. Washer Art is fun to make and it looks awesome! A real one-of-a-kind piece of work. They also make fantastic gifts.

March 11th -19th will be “Decoupage Tiles”. Create cute tiles with fabric provided by them or create a collage out of personal materials you have at home. This unique piece of art will make the perfect decoration for your room, a paperweight or a coaster. They're so easy to make - once you start you may not be able to stop.

Then March 20th -26th will be “Spring Bird Feeders”, celebrate the Spring Equinox with this easy-to-make homemade bird feeder. Not only will it decorate your trees but it will also attract birds that you can watch from your window.

March 27th-31st is “Paper Chain People”, create cute decorations for your room or favorite holiday. Try making a chain for a card, party invitation or thank you note. You can switch things up by designing different shapes for your people and take advantage of the different color paper they’ll provide. All their programs are fun-filled, learning experiences.

The geese are flying overhead and several people have spotted robins! Spring is coming?!
