Meet your friends before the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade this Saturday at St. George’s Church (located at 97 Schoolhouse Road). They are serving from 8 a.m. to Noon with cost for Adults $8, Children ages 5-12 are $5 and under 5 are free! What a great way to start this fun-filled day! Lineup is down by the Jeff Lions Field (behind the Jeff Bank) at noon with the Parade starting down Main Street, Jeffersonville at 1 p.m. Lots of marchers, firetrucks, floats and bagpipes too (my personal favorite). A “Parade Watch Party” is going to be held upstairs at the Jeffersonville Bake Shop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with games, crafts for kids, goodie bags, face painting, refreshments and great balcony views of the Parade too! Tickets are $5.

Then after the Parade wander over to the Winkelried Biergarten (at the back of the Tavern) at 2 p.m. They will offer beer, Irish food and music by “Butch and the Elevaters” with a St Paddy’s Day Dog Parade and Costume Contest at 3 p.m. Dress up your dog and come on down!

The Protection Hose Company No. 1 of Jeffersonville is hosting their 20th Annual Chicken Barbeque at the Jeffersonville Firehouse on Sunday, April 3rd from 1p.m. to 4p.m. Takeout’s Only at $13 each. Tickets are available from a firefighter. What a great way to bring in Spring and to support your volunteers!

Then, the Callicoon Kiwanis Club’s Pancake Breakfast will be held on Palm Sunday, April 10th from 7 a.m. until noon at the Delaware Community Center in Callicoon. Cost is $10 Adults, $5 Children ages 6-12 and 5 and Under are free. The proceeds from this delicious breakfast helps the Delaware Valley Youth Center, Delaware Rifle Club, Red Dog Football, Interfaith Outreach United (I.O.U.), AYSO Youth Soccer, Boy and Girl Scout Groups, Sullivan West Drug Task Force, King Fisher Project and many other worthwhile causes supporting the youth of our area.

Save the Date: Saturday, June 18th, the JEMS of Jeffersonville is hosting a Frank Sinatra event once again, at Lulu’s, a beautiful room over the top of the Jeffersonville Bake Shop on Main Street, Jeffersonville. Everyone had such a terrific time at last year’s party they decided to host it again! Come out for a great night of entertainment and dancing with Al Russo, one of the best Frank Sinatra Tribute Singers you will ever get to enjoy! Bill Gulino, pianist, will open the program followed by Mr. Russo. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 and include tasty appetizers. Wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets will be ready soon and will be available at The Secret Garden (can only accept cash or checks) or by calling Sue at (845) 482-5354. This party was so much fun last year, you are guaranteed to have a great time. Bring your favorite partner and go back in time!
