March 25 - The Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade last Saturday was so much fun with all of Main Street Jeffersonville full of families enjoying the special, melody of bagpipes, firetrucks with marching firefighters, Jeff Bank employees, the Red Dog football team, and another float from St. Georges church, Prestige trucks (that made Mike and Jackie Giegers’ vehicle look quite small), and other marchers that included some very pretty calves from Myers Century Farm! (they make great ice cream in lots of delicious flavors).
The pancake breakfast at St. Georges church was scrumptious and was hand delivered to the Secret Garden staff by “Frank”. A big thank you to him for taking care of several of us that morning when we could not get up the hill to the church! Lots of kids were up on the second floor of the Jeff Bake Shop enjoying the games and watching the parade from a great perch. The Winkelried Biergarten behind the Tavern was indeed busy serving drinks and Irish foods. I saw dogs “dressed up” for a St Paddy’s Day Dog Parade & Costume Contest too. The town was indeed a busy one!
