Barbara your hostess with the mostest with great events, and founder of “Barbara’s Bunch,” has been busy at work planning some really wonderful “get away from it all” trips.

Be the first to know about trips by signing up for email notifications at barbarahahl@yahoo.com including your name, current mailing address and email address to get subscribed or call Barbara at 914-799-3362. Once she hears from you she will be happy to mail your desired brochures.

At this time there are planned lunches and shows at the Villa Roma, then “The Ark Encounter & Creation Museum” on June 13-18th, “The Music Man” on October 1st, the “Radio City Christmas Show” on November 20th (details coming) and “Boston Pops Holiday” planned for December 7,8 & 9th. You can also “like” Barbara’s Bunch” Facebook page where you can watch for updates on trips!

The Sullivan Renaissance invites the community to commemorate National Historic Preservation Month with the inaugural Renaissance Roundtable on Wednesday, May 18th at 12p.m. via Zoom. The National Trust for Historic Preservation hosts a series of events and campaigns to promote advocacy and awareness of the important historic places that define our communities.

The 2022 theme, “People Saving Places”, will be the focus of the first Renaissance Roundtable. The Roundtable will feature a panel of people saving places throughout Sullivan County. For more information or to register, visit the Events page at www.SullivanRenaissance.org or call (845) 295-2445.

Don’t forget the 1st Annual Catskill Outdoorsman 3D Archery Fundraiser benefiting Kelly Irving and her fight to stop MS being held Saturday, May 7th with a 1 p.m. start time. The event is being held at the Halloran Farm located on 317 Bethlehem Rd, Callicoon Center, NY 12724. Rain location: The Catskill Outdoorsman at 4882 State Route 52, in Jeffersonville. Jeffersonville’s 5K Sap Run is being held on Saturday, May 14th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and is hosted by the Jeffersonville Area Chamber of Commerce. Registration information and application can be found on their Facebook page.

Day of registration and race packet pick-up starts at 7 a.m. and will be located in the Backyard Park. Race starts at 9 a.m. in front of the Jeff Bank on State Route 52. Runners and walkers welcome. This year the 5K Sap Run is helping to raise awareness and help support the Service Dogs for Vets with PTSD Program offered by Action Toward Independence in Sullivan County.

This program helps pair a Veteran with a compatible dog from local shelters. Service dogs provide much needed emotional support for our Veterans. And you are also helping a dog find a home. There will be a Maple Festival going on for some more fun!

A very Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Mother’s out there!
