The JEMS beautification group would like to thank the Good Samaritan that helped our girls push our Gator (used to water plants) back behind the library last weekend after it refused to run. We didn’t get his name and are very grateful! Thank you!

Last call! Get your tickets now for the Frank Sinatra Event on Saturday, June 18, available for purchase at The Secret Garden Gift Shop. Tickets are limited, last day to purchase is June 9 and only a few are left. Call me if you want more information or can’t get in to purchase the tickets.

Reminder: The Jeffersonville Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library is accepting donations of gently used books, CDs, and DVDs for the Friends of the Library's upcoming Annual Firehouse Book Sale in August.

They cannot accept magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias, or anything that is moldy or musty smelling. Please call 845-482-4350 for drop off hours.

WSPL Father's Day Kit: Sign up for this sweet craft kit designed to honor dads and just in time for summer! All of the kits are free for children ages 11 & under and available for pick-up at each branch while supplies last. Register by June 12 so they can have your packet ready for pickup.

Also, join the “Among Us Tween Gaming” online class for tweens ages 8-13. During this Zoom session, students will socialize and play Among Us in a monitored environment. This is a live, small group online class that's available on any device from anywhere – from the comfort of home. They meet on Thursday, June 23 from 4-5 p.m. Sign up on the WSPL website calendar for a Zoom link to the virtual classroom. Finally, stop by any of their branches to learn how you can start earning rewards for WSPL t-shirts, fidget spinners, coupons for a free coffee or tea at one of our local cafés or bakeries, movie tickets and more.

Great News: The “Jeffersonville Bake Shop” has new Summer hours! Open 7 days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and they have fresh sweet and tasty donuts. The Jeffersonville Farmers Market is in the parking area at the Jeffersonville Bake Shop on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – until October 31. Lots of great vendors selling many different and delicious items !

Sullivan County’s Litter program will continue through the end of June. (It ends at that time due to traffic and safety on the roads.) For information on supplies to help with your litter clean up contact Brian Scardefield, Director of Parks and Beautification at: Sullivan County Parks and Recreation.

At the Sullivan Renaissance they are committed to repeating the message that litter is an offense to our towns, our natural beauty, and in direct conflict with the work of our volunteers to build beautiful, active communities.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who greeted Spring with litter pluckers and trash bags in hand to clean up roads, parks, streams and rivers, and our municipal leaders who have made combating litter a priority in their towns.

Do you want to work with the crew? Do you know someone who would want to be part of the Sullivan Renaissance Team? They have one crew position open and a few more internships available (one is for Jeffersonville).

Contact Carmela Hugel for the crew at carmela@sullivanrenaissance.org or Anne-Louise Scandariato for the internship at AnneLouise@ sullivanrenaissance.org
