August 10 - The Sullivan Catskills Farmers’ Markets collective is inviting the community to join in the celebration of Farmers’ markets during National Farmers’’ Market Week, August 7th through the 13th. The markets have special activities or events scheduled like a book signing, live music and cooking demos. This year, the collective is launching their new website to kick off National Farmers’ Market Week: www.SullivanCatskillsFarmersMarkets.org. The website is a new resource to learn more about each farmers’ market, their location, the Farmers’ themselves, recipes, tips for shopping at the market and how to use different currencies and benefits at the market.

Farmers’ Market Week is the perfect opportunity for anyone who has yet to visit a local market to experience today’s farmers’ market: it’s fun, socially fulfilling, and a great way for the entire family to eat healthier and support our neighbors – hard-working Catskills darmers! Check out one of the special events happening at our Sullivan Catskills Farmers’ Markets during National Farmers’ Market Week.
