Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the parade down Main Street in Jeff on Saturday, March 18th with line up at noon and parade starting at 1pm. Lineup at Noon on Willy Avenue. Before the parade they will be selling chances for Bethel Woods season lawn tickets for $10 each.  Call JP at 845-807-7980 for FMI and to participate in the parade. All groups are welcome!

The weather is still cold and it’s time to think about summer gardens and make plans for another season. The Cutting Garden located on Main Street, Youngsville has their Seedling list ready; contact them for more information cuttinggarden@hotmail.com  and to order your seeds.  Order by March 1st. Winter Hours: Saturday 11a.m. – 5p.m. and Sunday 11a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Western Sullivan Public Library is hosting “Puppy Love” Thursday, February 23rd at 4:30 at the Jeffersonville Branch. Celebrate National Library Lovers Month with a sweet story and some puppy love. A special dog will be there to spread its cupid wings. He’ll sit real nice as they read a bit and have a tiny snuggle. Reading to dogs can help boost reading skills in children as well as with emotional  and social skills, so sign up today! The Youngsville Fire Department is proud to welcome back their Pancake Breakfast on February 26th from 7 a.m.-11 a.m. with adults and children $10 and children under 5 free. Delicious family style, all you can eat, pancakes, eggs, sausage, and locally made maple syrup!

The Sullivan West Musical Production Club Presents Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” on March 10th and 11th at 7 p.m. and March 12th at 2 p.m. at the High School Auditorium in Lake Huntington. Cost for Adults is $10, Students $6, Senior Citizens (62+) are free. Sunday Special – 4 pack $25 and 5 pack $30. 

Nicole Mascara-Mullally claims Zumba is “Like A Night Out” and invites you to join the class to workout on Monday/Thursday above the Village Office located at 17 Center Street in Jeffersonville. Workouts are from 5:10 p.m. – 6:10 p.m. at $10 per session.

New York high school seniors who are graduating and interested in pursuing a career in agriculture can apply for New York Farm Bureau’s Agricultural Youth Scholarship. Eligible students can use the financial award for college or advanced training in the skilled trades. Statewide winners can earn up to $3,000 towards their future education.

The applicant or their family must be a New York Farm Bureau member, and the student must live and/or work on a farm or be involved with agriculture in the state. The student must also complete the application which includes writing an essay addressing what they value and stand for in agriculture and life and how these values have impacted their decision to pursue an agricultural career.
