A Chicken BBQ Fundraiser in Memory of Derrick “Hansie” Hanslmaier is being held on Sunday, November 15th at St Georges Catholic Church in Jeffersonville.

It will be a Pickup/Drive Thru only, beginning at 1 p.m. and running until they are sold out. Cost is $10/dinner at the door with no tickets being sold in advance. Donations are greatly appreciated with all proceeds from this event going to The Hanslmaier family. All of us are very sorry for their loss.

Derrick was a very generous person, giving to anyone needing his help and his community too. Please come out and help to support his family. Also, I read in the Cornell Cooperative Extension Connection that you may send condolences, flowers, or to plant a tree in memory of Derrick by visiting www.stewartmurphyfh.com. Peace be with the family and his many friends at this difficult time.

Join the Western Sullivan Public Library's Virtual Book Discussion Group Thursday, November 19th at 6:00pm and discuss Harlan Coben's The Boy from the Woods.

The Boy from the Woods, published in 2020, is a tale of a feral child discovered in the woods of New Jersey. No one really knows how long he was there, but he did manage to befriend another child.

When he grew up, he became known as Wilde and then used his unique skills in the professional world. When a local teen goes missing, and then another, Wilde finds himself drawn in.
