Jeffrey W. Hinton of Liberty, NY a retired paramedic for FDNY and St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan, NY and a long-time area resident, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was 71.
The son of the late John and Edith Howard Hinton, he was born October 29, 1952 in Queens, New York. Jeffrey proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Diggs Hinton, at home; his children, John Hinton and his wife Patty, Elizabeth Williams and her husband Carlyle, Christina Hinton and her partner Jamie, Danielle Sanders and her husband Tyrone, Connor Hinton and his wife Sarah and Michael Hinton and his wife Theresa; nine grandchildren, Katelyn, Noah, Lucille, Penelope, Lyla, Owen, Dwayne, Celine and Cali; three brothers, Gregory Hinton and his wife Jacqueline, Andrew Hinton and his wife Joy, and Robert Hinton and his wife Diana; his mother-in-law, Thomasina Braxton and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2024 from 1 to 3 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY. A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will begin at 3PM in the funeral home.
Dignified cremation provided by Harris Crematorium, LLC. Burial of cremains will be in the Sullivan County Veteran’s Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
