Joan Barnicott, 79, of Livingston Manor, New York, passed away on February 28, 2025, at Roscoe Regional Healthcare. She was born on July 20, 1945, in Liberty, NY to Andrew Rampe and Eula Spencer and lived a life filled with love, joy, and dedication to her family and community.

Joan was a beloved member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Livingston Manor, where she contributed her time and energy to support others. She was also a teacher’s aide at Livingston Manor Central School, where she touched the lives of many students. Joan was the Manager of The Beaverkill Angler, she was passionate about her knitting, playing games, dancing, and listening to music. Christmas was her favorite season, and she found great joy in the festivities and traditions that came with it. Joan also cherished her time in ceramics class, where she nurtured her creative spirit.

Above all, Joan adored spending time with her family. She leaves behind her daughters, Vivian A. Green and her husband Brian Gleason, Gina M. Shultis, her companion Arthur Bell Sr., and her grandchildren, Cody, Carle, and Olivia, her great-grandchildren, Mason, Jocelyn, Cora, Alice, Daisy, and Henry. Her stepchildren Theresa, Jodi, Ronnie, Becky, Arthur Jr., and Gina. Joan was predeceased by her loving husband, Gene Barnicott, and her siblings, Richard Rampe, Helen Goble, and James Rampe, her grandson-in-law, Timmy Mills and her canine companions, Gandolph, Simon and Nigel, which were always by her side, offering love and comfort.

Joan’s kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Colonial Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 11 am.
