Fellow Town of Thompson residents,

As a resident, parent, and local business owner in this town I have had the opportunity to be a part of this community for many years. Establishing and growing a co-owned and operated business in this town for nearly 48 years has allowed me to engage with many individuals and organizations throughout the town.

As an active member of the Monticello Fire Department for almost 20 years, sitting Vice President of the department for 5 years, and acting President for the past year, I have been deeply involved with the community in impactful ways. When my children were growing up in this town, I served as a board member and coach of the Monticello Little League as well as a board member of the Monticello Central School District Board of Education.

For the past eight years, I have had the honor and privilege of serving as your Councilman. All of these experiences have allowed me to meet and work with remarkable groups and individuals and see this community make many positive changes.

In these past eight years as Councilman, I have gotten to work closely with many individuals and organizations in the service of the community in the hopes of promoting growth and revitalization. In my tenure as Councilman our team has engaged in many promising projects including establishing and upgrading community parks and recreation. This includes continued modifications to our town park, initiating the creation of the Lake Ida park in Rock Hill, and collaborating with the Village of Monticello in their effort to revitalize De Hoyos park.

With regard to infrastructure, our team has been working to repair and update systems in the town such as the water and sewer systems, exchange street lighting with energy efficient LED lighting, and continually upgrade road systems. Our team has also focused on upgrading construction equipment used by our town departments. It has been and remains a top priority to create outreach and engagement opportunities for families and youth throughout the town.

It has been a true privilege to be a part of these projects and the community at large.  As an active member of this town for the past 50 years and with the daily interactions I have with town members, I see firsthand the issues that taxpayers in the town are interested in addressing. I promise to continue to listen to you all and keep your best interests in mind and at the forefront when decisions are being made.

Thank you for your continued support!
