Joseph Huff Forness Sr, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 8th at the age of 79 in Panama City, FL. He was born on April 20, 1945 in Sharon, PA to the late Andrew William Forness and Elizabeth Huff Forness. He owned and operated The Huff House Resort in Roscoe, N.Y. for 17 years and transitioned to residential development after selling the business. He was a proud resident of Roscoe, N.Y., Dublin, GA, Alpharetta, GA, and Port St. Joe, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joanne B. Forness, brother A. William Forness, many nieces and nephews, sons Gregory Saxon Forness married to Nicole Forness and Joseph Huff Forness Jr. married to Elise Hurley Forness and grandchildren, Reagan Anne Forness, Leighton Claire Forness, Emery Grace Forness, Caroline Elise Forness, and Wells Huff Forness.

Joe was a loving husband, father, and grandfather with a passion for cooking, entertaining, and woodworking.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Dublin, GA on March 29th at 1:00 p.m. with reception to follow.
