Julia Sturdevant of Callicoon, NY, a homemaker, died on October 8, 2022 at her home. She was 90. 

The daughter of the late Adolph and Julia Sako Winglovitz, she was born November 4, 1931 in Cochecton, NY. She was the widow of Robert Sturdevant. Mr. Sturdevant predeceased her on October 15, 2017.

Julia worked as a phone operator for AT&T for many years and worked part-time at the Band Box in Callicoon. 

She loved to bowl and go to the casino and play the video gaming machines.

Julia is survived by her children: Laurie Sturdevant, Marc Sturdevant and Lance Sturdevant and his wife Darlene; her grandsons, Brian and Justin and his wife Ashley; two great-granddaughters, Leah and Ella; nieces and nephews, Denise Marcella and her husband, Chris, Debbie Reimer and her husband, Tom, Craig Winglovitz and his wife, Trish, and Ross Winglovitz and his wife, Diane.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Robert, Julia was predeceased by her sister, Jean Johnson, and her brother, Adolph “Sonny” Winglovitz. 

The family will celebrate Julia’s life in the spring of 2023 at a time to be announced.
