Kenny was born on February 24, 1957 in East Stroudsburg, PA to Edith Blagbrough Bjorn and Walter Arthur Bjorn. He died at his Jekyll Island residence on January 13, 2025.

His formative years were spent in the Pocono and Catskill Mountains, where he reveled in all of the boyhood joys of country living; woodlands, hay fields, camping, exploring, mountain climbing, and puppies.

Kenny possessed a boundless curiosity and inquiring intellect. He was enamored of all things electrical and electronics. He was an “ace” in audio-visual programs during his high school years. He graduated in 1975 from Liberty Central High School in Liberty, NY. He was a member of the all-county chorus, golf team, and time-keeper for the school’s basketball team.

He was a multi-genre music aficionado, working for Feyline Concert Presentations based in Denver. His seven-year affiliation with the company included the management of the well-known Denver Rodeo Night Club.

Kenny made his way to Hawaii, dividing his eight years there between Maui and Kauai. He became a professional bartender, working at high-end hotels, clubs, and restaurants. Upon returning to Jekyll Island, he managed Morgan’s Grill at the golf courses and served for eight years as bartender at the Jekyll Island Club Lobby Bar.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Walt Bjorn; uncles Kenneth Bjorn and Albert Blagbrough.

He is survived by his mother, Dr. Edith Bjorn; brother, Thomas Bjorn (Robin); nieces Kirsten Bjorn Thomas (Ian) and Rachel L. Bjorn; uncles William Blagbrough and Norman Blagbrough; aunt Diane Blagbrough; and several cousins.

Kenny cherished his family and friends, and they cherished him.
