Mini news column. Get your hummingbird feeders out as well as your cut oranges and grape jelly! Within the next few days, the hummingbirds, the rose-breasted grosbeaks and the Baltimore Orioles will be arriving.

Carl Lindsley advises me that last Friday, April 23rd, he had a male hummingbird flying by the red taillight of his truck. That is the first and only hummingbird sighting of 2021. After I heard that, I got my hummingbird feeder out and have sliced oranges waiting for the annual trilogy of migrating birds.

Yesterday, April 28th, our wrens arrived. My husband Ray and I quickly cleaned out one of our wren houses. A few more to go. I love the little wren, but they are so chatty. I think they win first prize for being the bird that makes the most amount of noise.

Kevin's Cones in White Lake is scheduled to open this weekend. Cleanup day for the Town of Bethel this weekend.

That is all the news for Kenoza Lake this week.
