SYRACUSE – Zoe Kip, a 16-year-old Liberty High School junior, traveled to Syracuse on Friday to compete in the first-ever New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Girls Wrestling Invitational tourney at SRC Arena. NYSPAA classified girls wrestling as an emerging sport before the start of the 2022-23 school year, which means it could be made a fully sanctioned sport as early as next year. Kip placed fourth in her weight class (152-lbs) at the state invitational.
