Hello, I hope you are all doing great. Can you believe it, July already.

This year has gone by really fast. I remember when I was a kid the summer was over in a blink of an eye, but when you were in school it dragged on. One day at a time and live life to its fullest.

On June 16th the Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance hosted the Sullivan County Dive Team at Skinners Falls for their monthly drill. It was a fun night of training and education for all departments involved, including Lake Huntington Fire and Tusten EMS.

Thanks to everyone who made the night safe and entertaining! If you want to be a member of Sullivan County Dive team you must be a member of a Sullivan County Fire Department.

There is another drill in Narrowsburg on Sunday, July 18th at the boat launch at 8 a.m. It will be an all day drill.

Saturday, July 24 at 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. The Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corps is having an event at the Cochecton Ambulance Park, 82 Smales Road, Lake Huntington. Admission is free and open to the public.

Meet the Corps Members. Ambulance tours, blood pressure checks, Learn Stop-the-Bleed skills, practice giving chest compressions, and learn some simple first aid skills. There will be some demos. There will be refreshments. Enjoy our park and meet your neighbors. If you have any questions this will be a great opportunity. We have some new members and also we have three who completed the EMT class. For more info visit www.facebook.com/CochectonAmbulance.

The Lake Huntington Ladies Aid Society will again be holding their card parties and games beginning July 12th. Starting with refreshments at 11:30 and playing at 12:00 till 3. Hope to see everyone there. This is being held at the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church. Any questions please call Vicky at (845) 932-8923 or Grace at (570) 729-8247.

Save the date: October 23rd Penny Social at the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church, Lake Huntington. Times will follow.

I still have a few tickets left if you want to get Lake Huntington Lake Association annual raffle tickets. Cost: 1 for $5 or 3 for $10. 1st Prize: Kayak and Paddle, 2nd Prize $150 Dicks Sporting Goods Gift Certificate, 3rd Prize $10 Cabela’s Gift Certificate, 4th Prize Basket of Cheer.
