Hello everyone, sorry I did not do a column last week. I was up in Quincy, Mass. with my sister visiting her daughter and husband and my new great-nephew, Fintan. By the end of the trip I was calling him Fin Man, he is so stinking cute.

I drove to Queens to meet up with my sister and drive together, and the same coming back. If I left from Cochecton, it would have taken me 5 hours so it took me 2 1/2 to get to Queens and 4 to Quincy, I cannot tell a lie. I was shocked driving back up from Queens on Sunday afternoon. I left my sisters at 6 and was in my driveway at 8, no traffic and a great radio station.

There is a lot going on with our Cochecton Ambulance Corp on Saturday, July 24 from 12pm-4pm at the Cochecton Ambulance park (adjacent to the town hall) 74 Smales Rd. - Neighbors helping Neighbors, a day filled with education, fun and dedicated first responders serving our community.

There will be an ambulance tour, blood pressure check, learn to stop and bleed skills. There will also be demonstrations you can watch.

On August 28, there will be a blood drive at the Cochecton Town Hall 9am-2pm. For more questions you can email www.cochectonambulanceems@gmail.com or online signup is at redcrossblood.org.

There is lots of fun stuff happening with the Cochecton Youth Commission CYC. Please follow them on their facebook page New Cochecton Youth Commission. If you are new to the Town of Cochecton, please send them a message and register your children. All CYC events are free to Cochecton children.

I sold 101 tickets for the Lake Huntington Lake Association. The winners will be pulled this weekend at their annual meeting. I hope someone who bought tickets from me wins.

Know that the world is getting somewhat back to normal. Email me at leeniebeans@citlink.net or call me at (845) 252-3568 if you have any news or an event in the Town of Cochecton, so I can help you get the information out there.

Keep smiling and have a great week.
