Busy, busy, busy! Every May it seems like suddenly there are dozens of school events that you need to be at, field trips, sporting events and more. We are on the go most days, but the beautiful weather has made our outings enjoyable.

The following are some other activities and events happening locally-

There is a Chicken Barbecue on Saturday, May 21 from 11:30 -1:30 at Grover M. Hermann Hospital Auxiliary. There will also be a tricky tray and 50/50 drawing. Please contact Barbara Donatelli to request tickets. Bvtd7@aol. com to request tickets.

The Delaware Youth Center River Race is on Sunday, July 24th! Register for the 5K run or walk; or for a greater challenge, try the 10K distance! T-Shirts for the first 400 participants, so register early! Can’t attend this year but still want to join in the fun? Register for the Gary A. Winglovitz Virtual Run! 2022 Spring Cleanup Day -Town of Cochecton residents: May 21 and 22, 2022, from 9 AM – 2:45 PM. Items may be brought to the Cochecton Town Hall, 116 CR 116, Lake Huntington, NY. Acceptable items include Household junk, Bulky waste (furniture, mattresses, carpets, etc.); Iron pipes must be cut to 4-foot lengths; Drums and tanks must be empty and cut open or crushed.; Paint or tar cans must be empty and dry; NO full or partially full cans of paint, NO commercial dumping. NO household garbage, NO yard waste, leaves, stumps, roots, or rocks. NO HAZARDOUS WASTES: petroleum products, pesticides, or propane tanks. NO Computers/monitors, Television sets (all display types). NO Fluorescent Bulbs/ Lamps. The Town of Cochecton will be accepting 4 regular car and truck tires at no cost, cost will be $3.00 per tire after the 4th tire. No oversized tires are allowed. This program is made possible by the Sullivan County Legislature along with the Division of Public Works and Solid Waste and the Town of Cochecton.

Gerry Kinney’s Life Remembrance will take place at the Lake Huntington Fire Co on Rte 116 on Saturday, May 21, 2022, starting at 1:00 PM *please take note of the time correction. Fire Police will be directing.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Linda Rummell Blaso as she has gained her wings and is now at peace in the hands of God.
