Summer is in full swing in Upstate New York and the weather has been perfect for lake days and more! It is so nice driving by Lake Huntington and seeing all the boats, kayaks, paddleboards and jet skis. The perfect way to spend a summer day.
Here are a few events coming up locally, so mark your calendars.
Join the Cochecton Youth Commission to Legoland in Goshen, NY on Sunday, August 14 at 9 am. As always free to Cochecton youth. Adults and out-of-town youth must buy tickets online for that day to attend!!! (Which are $89.99 ages 3 and up) Tickets go fast, so once your child is signed up, buy the adult tickets online for that day. There is a parking fee of $25 that adults will have to pay also. Any questions please contact Krissy Snedeker at 845-807-8003. Sign ups for this event will only be on Tuesday, July 12, from 7-7:30 pm at lower level town hall. GPS - Legoland New York is located at 1 Legoland Way, Goshen, NY 10924.
The programs are funded in full or in part by the Sullivan County Youth Bureau.
Callicoon Country Fair on Saturday, July 23, from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.
This is a town-wide event with art, music, food, and fun! Artisan Market features local vendors offering locally made aritisan goods, crafts and jewelry, as well as antiques, art, food and more. Wander along the historic streets, view the architecture and admire the beautiful Delaware River. They are looking for vendors, sponsors, and volunteers! Summer Acting Classes for teens and adults, taught by River Rep artistic director Christopher Peditto, starting July 20 at the Delaware Valley Opera Center in Lake Huntington, NY. Come have fun and play in this brave space, free of stress and judgement. Learn more and sign up now at riverrep.org!
“Rigoletto” is arguably, one of Verdi’s most popular operas at the Delaware Valley Opera. Gorgeous singing, intrigue, assassins, politically (and morally) incorrect treatment of women, fate, true love, missed redemption and a curse all play their parts in this dramatic story. There is something in it for everyone -- an evening not to be missed! Performances on July16 and 23 at 7:00 pm or July 17 and 24 at 2:00 pm.
