September 2 – Another successful Labor Day Weekend is in the books! Hard to believe we are headed back-to-school this week, but the kids are ready as am I! Back to a routine and schedules, sports, horse shows and more. 

I am getting ready to plan for pumpkins, straw bales, corn stalks and all the fall décor so if you know of local farmers that are selling – be sure to send me an email with their information so I can check it out!

The Lake Huntington Fire Department is looking for members. Stop by any Monday at 7:00 PM  or call 845-932-8444 for more information. 

Congratulations to Mike Bruce for winning the Harriet Weber EMS Leadership Award at the recent Sullivan County Bureau of EMS mid-summer BBQ. This award was one of many nominated by the EMS community. Congratulations Mike!

The Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corps an-nounced a Pet First Aid Training Day on September 29 from 7-9 p.m. at the Sullivan County Emergency Services Training Center in Swan Lake. Seating is limited, please register early. 

Calling all crafters!

The Delaware Youth Center will be holding its Holiday Craft Fair again this year and they are looking for vendors. The craft fair will take place on Friday, November 25 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Youth Center. Please register online if you would like to be a vendor. www.delawareyouthcenter.org

DVCS All Class Reunion

This year’s DVCS All Class Reunion will be held on October 8 at the Villa Roma Resort in Marty's Lounge. All former students, teachers and staff are invited to attend. The party begins at 5 pm with cash bar and appetizers followed by a hot buffet dinner at 7 p.m. DJ and dancing after dinner will complete the evening of fun. Price per person inclusive of tax and tip is $65. Reservations can be made by calling the Villa Roma at 800-727-8455, ext 1, or by sending a check to Villa Roma Resort, Attn: Group Sales/DVCS, 356 Villa Roma Road, Callicoon, NY 12723.
