Hello, hope you are all enjoying your summer, and being safe. I was so excited my brother and I were going on a small vacation to Cape May, for a few days. My sister rented a house there for 2 weeks. Between both of our work schedules it's a no go. October I was going to Greece but canceled that one also. I would be very happy to go to Queens and visit my family, not going to happen for awhile.

Cochecton has a new business at Fosterdale 4 corners, Linda's Country Corner. The owner is Linda Fratello. It's a quaint store that sells local syrup, honey, artwork and jewelry. There is a back room that has vintage and new handbags, clothes, shoes, and a men's section. The store is inviting and everything is priced reasonably. Her hours are Saturdays 11-3 or by appointment during the week. Linda also has a Antique Barn across the road. Please check her out or see her on Facebook.

Town of Cochecton 2020 Summer Clean Up will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Aug 15th and 16th from 9 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. Items may be brought to the Old Cochecton Town Hall, 116 CR 116, Lake Huntington for Cochecton residents only.

Items that will be accepted: household junk, cleaned out paint cans, furniture, mattresses, and carpet. If you are bringing iron pipes they must be cut into 4 foot lengths, drums and tanks must be cleaned out open and ready to be crushed. NO yard waste, leaves, stumps, roots or rocks. NO propane tanks, household garbage, commercial waste of any kind, NO computers/monitors, TV's, fluorescent bulbs/lamps.

The town is taking 4 car or truck tires at no cost, $3 for any tire after that. NO oversize tires are allowed.

I would like to congratulate Garnet Health Medical Center -Catskills Grover Hermann Hospital. It was named as a top 20 Critical Access Hospital. Our little hospital sure is special.

Did you fill out your 2020 Census online? It's quick and easy. The 2020 Census questionnaire will take about 10 minutes to complete. It's safe, secure, and confidential.

We got a new mascot for the town hall. I have not met him yet but he is a little cutie. He is a 10 week old Jack Russell named TJ.

Keep smiling and have a great week and you can e-mail me at leeniebeans@

citlink.net or call 845/252-3568 if you have any news. My new deadline is Friday.
