Lake Huntington - February 9

As I sit here in my nice cozy home on this snowy Sunday listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd on my Alexa, thinking of what I will write about in this week's Lake Huntington News. You all know I always start off about myself (some like it, some don't, oh well). On Friday February 5 at noon, I got my second Moderna Covid-19 shot.

I was waiting in the waiting room to make sure I was ok and did not die. I waited my 15 minutes and I was fine, no hot flash or itchy eyes. I went to work and at about 2 p.m. I could not keep my eyes open and it felt like my head was in a vice. I went home, took 2 Tylenol and went to bed about 3 p.m. I got up at 8 p.m. and back to bed at midnight, did not get up till 11 a.m. on Saturday morning.

I was born and raised in Bellerose, Queens and my parent's house was the cool-aid mom house, always had the neighbor kids hanging out on the front stoop. When we were bored we would do punk tests on each other. One of the tests was getting punched in the arm 100 times. You were not able to move your arms for days. Well that is what my arm felt like Saturday and Sunday.
