Our town is really lucky that we have so many restaurants and that they are able to stay open and to serve the community. Many places are having to close, they cannot find anyone who wants to work. I have great memories of working in Pete's Pub with Anita and Pete. It would be a really busy Wednesday night, bar would be crowded, full tables in the back, it would only be Anita and myself and we loved the craziness of it. I would get everyone at the bar set, go wait on tables, help Anita fry chicken cutlets and egg plant, we loved it. We also bussed the tables and did the dishes, whatever had to be done we did it. Anita would make special dishes for her customers when she knew they were coming. She would also call people and tell them what she was making. The Judge Bob Meyers loved Anita's 15 bean soup or her yankee bean soup. Her pecan pie and meatballs, along with her venison sauerbraten, she made for the hunting clubs were a big hit.

The Cochecton Youth Commission would like to thank George, Maryanne and Chris of Lakeview Pizzeria for a great Saturday afternoon making pizza with the kids. It was so cute how some of the girls were trying to throw the dough up in the air, and how the kids made their own pizzas. A special thank you to Maryanne for her yummy chocolate chip cookies.

Check out what's new with the Cochecton Youth Group on their Facebook page New Cochecton Youth Commission for upcoming events.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, stepmoms grandmothers, aunts, godmothers, dads that are mom and anyone who is in the mom position.
