This is my time of year. Nice cool crisp air, barn fires and beautiful sunsets. I was driving from Narrowsburg to Cochecton and the trees are turning such pretty colors. It looks like a Bob Ross painting, the yellows, dark maroon and the bright orange, just lovely.

If you're tired of staying in the house, get in your car and go for a ride before all the leaves are gone and that white stuff comes.

Have you been thinking what you will be doing for Thanksgiving this year besides eating turkey? I feel like there will be a lot of Zoom parties so we can see family members and friends. What a world we live in, hope this virus goes away and we have peace on earth.

The Republican Party is hosting their Election Day Chicken BBQ on Tuesday, November 3rd from 4-6 at the Lake Huntington Fire House, drive through only. The price of the tickets are $12.00. Please call Ed Grund for ticket information (845) 252-7363.

I have not heard anything from the other clubs in town or if they are back to having meetings. I do know the Cochecton Preservation Society is selling their raffle tickets every other month. The tickets are to raise money to maintain the oldest Eire Railroad Train Station located in Cochecton. Tickets are only $5 and you have 90 chances to win. If your number is 123 and that comes out on a Friday you win $100, if 122 or 124 you win $10. If you win on any other day, you win $50 number before or number behind $10. Please look up on Facebook Cochecton Train Station, Cochecton Preservation Society and leave a message for Peggy or Larry Richardson if you would like to get some tickets and play. The next game is for the month of October so maybe you can get in for the next game.

I am pretty sure it's December for a January drawing. I get them for a lot of people as a little thank you gift for Christmas. It's very cool when you get that envelope in the mail. I always say before I open it let it be $100, come on $100. I win a lot, I take 4 tickets each time they play.

Cochecton Youth Commission Fall Outdoor Game Event! Choose from a wide variety of games you can play outside this fall with your family!!! There is an opening on the board. If you are interested please stop by the meeting and speak to the president Sue Grund for more information. At the meeting the board will be discussing what the CYC will do for Halloween Trick-A-Trunk.
