Liberty Elementary School names new principal

LIBERTY — The Liberty Central School District (LCSD) recently announced the appointment of Robert England as the new principal at Liberty Elementary School, effective July 1.

England brings almost 20 years of leadership experience from both the public and private school settings. Since 2016, England has served as assistant principal at Liberty Elementary. In that time, he has focused school improvement efforts on safety, social-emotional wellness and instruction. He has led professional development in the building for all of his years at Liberty Elementary School.

Before Liberty Elementary School, Mr. England worked for the Regional Special Education Technical Assistance Support Center (RSE-TASC), where his work focused on school and district systems improvement. England says he left that position to support Liberty’s improvement plans and attend his daughter’s school events.

England’s daughter, Camryn England, is a 2017 graduate of Liberty High School.

“I feel extremely fortunate to be part of a district that collaborates and supports one another,” said England. “The teachers and staff at Liberty Elementary School are among the most dedicated, caring and loving professionals anywhere in education.”

England earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Dominican College, and his Master of Science in Instructional Technology from New York Institute of Technology. He earned his School Building Leader and School District Leader Advanced Certificate from the State University at New Paltz.
