Liberty to hold zoning info session next month

Posted

LIBERTY    In continuing with the process of updating their Town code to include parameters for schools and houses of worship, which is required by State and Federal law, the Liberty Town Board and Planner, Peter Manning, will be holding an informational session at the Town Board meeting on Monday, April 17 at 7 p.m.

During the info session, members of the public will be briefed on the process, possible changes to the code, as well as what State and Federal law dictates on the matter.

A public hearing on possible changes to the Town’s zoning will take place at a separate meeting at a later date, with the Town expected to vote on the possible changes sometime in June.

Voting changes

The Liberty Town Board received correspondence from the Board of Elections regarding a voting change effective March 15.

Town residents in Election Districts 2 and 6 will now vote at Village Hall on Main Street in Liberty.
