Local author and musician to hold book signing

Posted

Renowned South Fallsburg-based author and jazz musician Kenny Werner will be holding an in-person book signing event for his newly released book, “Becoming The Instrument: Lessons on Self-Mastery from Music to Life” at the Hurleyville General Store on January 15 at 2 p.m.

According to Senior Publicist at Maryl Moss Media Group, Tracy Goldblatt, “The book’s focus is on authentic performance, how to find the space to connect to the very moment you’re in, to connect only with your breath and not your brain, throwing away old baggage and inhibitions to go only by muscle memory and be completely present in performing not only in music but also in all that life requires you.”

He writes on “offering guidance on how musicians and anyone, can allow their ‘master creator’ within to lift their performance to its highest level, ‘Becoming the Instrument’ shows us how to be spontaneous, fearless, forgiving, joyful, and disciplined at work and in life.”

“Becoming the Instrument: Lessons on Self-Mastery from Music to Life” is a follow-up to his book published 26-years ago, “Effortless Mastery: Liberating the Master Musician Within,” which sold over 150,000 copies, as well as being translated into seven languages.

Those who wish to meet the local musician behind the worldly words are welcome to attend the book signing meet and greet event at the Hurleyville General Store at 2 p.m. on January 15.
