SULLIVAN COUNTY -- The Sullivan County Long Beards and the National Wild Turkey Federation regret to inform our community that they are unable to conduct their annual Youth Turkey Hunt Contest because of the Covid-19 virus. However, youth 12-15 years old in NYS may hunt turkeys with a mentor. Youth and mentor must hold a valid NYS hunting/turkey license.

Please follow all guidelines for safety, especially those in place due to the virus.

Youth that are successful and wish to publicly display their trophy, can submit their photo to butch.kortright@gmail.com and it will be displayed on the Long Beards' Facebook page.

Veterans

Additionally they are cancelling their disabled veterans hunt scheduled for May 2-3. The hunt was to be hosted by Kenny and Donna Peters and the Tamarack Farm Deer Club of Callicoon.
