As everyone knows, election time is now upon us. Absentee ballots have been mailed and soon early (in person) voting will begin. Tuesday, November 5th is the traditional, in person voting day. Yes, the Presidential Election is extremely important, however the Electoral College really determines who our next President will be, and New York State is not a “swing state” and most likely will go blue.
Are you happy with the current “Less is More”, soft on crime, including bail reform changes that went into effect back in 2020 that favor the criminal? Have you noticed how much car insurance rates have gone up? Someone must pay a price for all the theft going on and you and I are paying the price. Aileen Gunther was in Albany for 20 years. Ask yourself, why is the Sullivan County Correctional facility only one of two New York State facilities shuttering the day after elections?
Elections have consequences and voters need to get educated. Currently there is a supermajority in Albany, with the Governor, Senate and Assembly having a Democrat party majority. There are very little checks and balances with a super majority. We have an opportunity this year to change that with the 100th Assembly District Race. Lou Ingrassia is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines. I first met Lou back in February of this year. I have heard him speak numerous times. Lou walks the talk. His credentials speak for themselves.
Lou is the Town of Wallkill’s Department of Public Works (DPW) Commissioner and has deep-seated roots in the NY-100th Assembly District. Lou was raised on his family’s Orange County farm and still lives there with his wife, Jackie, a schoolteacher. The couple has two grown children who are both schoolteachers, Louie III and Andrea. Ingrassia began his career at the Town of Wallkill in 1986 as a laborer in the Water and Sewer Department. He became DPW Commissioner in 2013. Ingrassia has been a volunteer firefighter for 42 years and is an elected Fire Commissioner for the Howells Fire District (part of which is in Sullivan County). Ingrassia is a past president of the Orange County Highway Superintendents Association, a Board Member of the Orange County Water Authority and Co-Director of the Town of Wallkill Emergency Management Division. Lou serves our veterans as the current Chairman of the Hudson Valley Honor Flight (which flies our veterans to the Washington DC veterans’ monuments). Lou’s late father was our Assemblyman back in the 1970s.
Lou Ingrassia is an excellent candidate running for this Assembly race. He is not a pushover and is not afraid of speaking up. He is against Proposition One, as Lou supports sports for biologically born girls and parents’ rights. Your vote for Lou Ingrassia will make a difference. You can stop the supermajority and help to turn the direction of New York State back to the center. Your vote for Lou Ingrassia can change the supermajority. Lou is for you! Lou is a master of fire, highway, water and sewer issues and supports our veterans and girls’ sports. Lou is for you! Please vote for Lou Ingrassia on Election Day.
